NJ Storytelling Festival
Many thanks to all those who joined us and helped to make this 25th year of storytelling celebration a sparkling success.
We look forward to seeing you in 2018 for the 26th Annual NJ Storytelling Festival!
No horsing around! Come enjoy stories for all ages, on Saturday, September 16, 2017, from noon to 6 p.m. Storytellers from throughout New Jersey and Tri-State area will convene at Howell Living History Farm offering bales of laughter with farm-related stories and more.
Start the day with the festival's hallmark workshop to explore storytelling techniques and strategies, a boon for tellers and teachers alike. It is free and open to the public. Registration is required. Seating is limited.
The Story Slam takes place from noon to 1 PM with the theme “The Last Straw” to begin the fun; contestants are chosen at random to recount a 5 minute-or-less personal story.
A continuous rotation of tellers will perform throughout the farm from 1 to 5 PM, followed by the festival’s signature close, the Lightning Round, from 5 to 6 PM. All are encouraged to participate!
We will look forward to seeing you there!
